Jamie & Millie wanted to give their love ones a day to remember and they surely did that. The day began at the amazing Reid Rooms in Roding and the sun was beaming down providing amazing lighting during the bridal/groom prep as well as providing some warmth during a cold November.
Exploring the venue, I couldn't stop myself from pausing to capture images of the small details that had been created by Jamie & Millie. They really worked hard on making sure that they let their family and friends know more about themselves on the day. This included giving their table names to locations that they had visited on holiday, a quiz based on questions about them both and lastly my favourite, a Danish tradition of cutting off the toes of the grooms socks!
After a very different engagement shoot I knew that Ash & Emma's big day was going to be something more than 'normal'. Emma's brides maids ensured she had a great time getting ready and they kept me laughing the whole morning.
All family and friends viewed a very intimate ceremony in which I witnessed an amazing moment afterwards watching Ash & Emma staring each other in the eye saying "We did it".
The day finished off with sparklers for everyone and we all enjoyed recreating the confetti show from earlier in the day with an arch of sparklers.
Being asked to involve a pug in an engagement shoot straight away grabbed my attention. Jamie & Millie mentioned how important it was to bring Winnie with them and she made my day.
We took our time to wander through Picks Cottage Fishery in Chingford. Winnie lead the way and we followed. Despite being a very overcast day we managed to make the most of the amazing scenery.
When Ask & Emma contacted me explaining that they wanted George in our shoot, I first assumed it was a pet or child. Nope. George is a classic Beetle and I absolutely loved shooting him.
On a rainy Saturday evening we explored well lit areas to grab some shots both in and out of the car.
Jimmy & Cassandra held their wedding in a church that I have walked past for most of my life. I really enjoyed photographing an amazing couple in my local church.
Our day began with amazing light at Hanbury Manor, Hertford capturing hair, makeup and some touching moments between Cassandra, her mother and bridesmaids.
Despite some early rain, the day was brilliant and the sun managed to shine throughout the day.
When I first met Valy & Inese on our engagement shoot I was amazed at how in love they were. I didn't need to guide or pose either of them and knew that when it came to the big day we would see the same thing.
Inese is extremely insightful and put a lot of her creativity into the day adding little touches here and there. Throughout the day Inese was asking "Can we take this shot... oh and this one too" which I absolutely loved as I wanted to create images that they would remember.
The guests witnessed an amazing orthodox blessing at Bishop Stortford Church followed by the best hospitality I have ever had as a photographer at the Hunters Meet in Hatfield Heath.
Jimmy & Cassandra are a lovely couple who I have the honour of photographing on their wedding day. We visited one of my favourite locations in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire. Engagement shoots allow both the couple and myself to become comfortable with each other and take some great photos that can be used for your invites, singing books and other items on the day.
Valy and Inese are an amazing couple who I cannot wait to join on their wedding day. We headed out to Hatfield Forest which is an outstanding place of beauty under the National Trust. Hatfield Forest is a brilliant place for photographers, families, dog walkers and anyone who enjoys nature. We took a walk around the lake and through the forest, Inese even helped me out spotting a beautiful area which she and Valy loved.
Shooting Valy and Inese was so easy, they didn't need me to pose them at all. Their bond was amazing and from our initial meeting I was able to grab my camera and snap them straight away.
Mark & Lauren held a very small, close knit wedding which I absolutely loved as everyone knew everyone and the day had such a good flow to it.
I travelled with the Bride, Groom and family on a double decker bus from Broxbourne Registry Offices to The Mayflower Place in Hertingfordbury. Trust me trying to stand on an old bus taking photos whilst it is making its way to the venue was one of my most enjoyable challenges during a wedding.
What I really enjoyed about their wedding was how important their son George is to them, and how important having a close knit family is. We absolutely loved the small ceremony and everyone couldn't take their smiles off their faces!
